Back in 2017, when my wife and I were seeking the right home with a 6-year-old son and a baby soon to arrive in a week's time, we felt hopeful and unsure with a little dash of desperation. We understand the desire for a home and the journey it can take to get there!
Investing in your life and future is a big step, and you should have peace of mind in finding a place to call home.
As a native to the Columbia River Gorge, I have spent the majority of my life taking in the amazing outdoors this area has to offer. I love to get out and explore the mountains, rivers, and creeks - but also enjoy seeing all the historical homes and buildings we have in our area.
The saying 'no house is the same' rings very true in our area and this is one of the main reasons I am attracted to this industry. Growing up, I helped my dad build our family home and also worked for a contractor that renovated older homes. These experiences gave me a background in the structure of a home and how to fix a home.
It wasn't until almost a decade later though that I truly understood the importance of a home being safe and functional. When I purchased my first home with my wife and two young children, I truly started to appreciate the importance of how things were constructed and how that related to the overall safety and functionality of a home. My goal with Journey Home Inspections is to bring that sense of safety and security to all my clients as they are facing one of the biggest purchasing decisions of their lives.
