The One Step Teen Center, nestled in Fillmore, California, serves as a nurturing haven and vibrant hub for our after-school programming, embodying our ethos of gradual but meaningful change, "poco a poco." Catering to teenagers aged 13-19 and their families, our center operates from 1 pm to 7 pm, Monday through Friday during the school year, and extends its embrace throughout the summer months. Committed to providing a safe and enriching environment, we offer an array of services and activities designed to foster holistic growth and development. From daily hot meals and homework assistance to mentoring, recreational amenities including free Wi-Fi and gaming consoles, and engaging field trips, our Teen Center is a dynamic space where youth can thrive. Moreover, we prioritize leadership and job skills development, offering onsite employment opportunities and avenues for community service. With offerings ranging from health education to free counseling, we strive to empower teenagers to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience, one step at a time.
