Welcome to The Sunshine Kids Foundation at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Troth! We are proud to have embraced the Sunshine Kids Foundation as our national charitable benefactor.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation is on a mission to bring sunshine into the lives of young cancer patients. Founded in 1982 by Rhoda Tomasco, the foundation was born from a simple idea – to provide positive group activities and emotional support for children battling cancer. Rhoda, who volunteered in a pediatric cancer unit, saw the toll that cancer took on these young patients and knew that stepping out of the hospital and enjoying a day in the sun could make a world of difference. From a ski trip with 10 kids to Winter Park, Colorado, the foundation has grown to provide trips and events across the country.

At Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Troth, we believe that every child deserves a childhood, the opportunity to be a kid, and sunshine even on their darkest days. That's why we have partnered with the Sunshine Kids™ to support their noble cause. The foundation offers a variety of free programs and events for kids receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America.

Each year, our network members raise over $2 million through various fundraisers and community events, as well as through ticket sales and contributions made at our annual Sales Convention benefit. We are dedicated to bringing joy and support to kids with cancer until the day comes when the foundation is no longer needed.
