With the support of the Congregational Council, in January Northwestern Ohio Synod Bishop Daniel Beaudoin appointed Pastor Marcus C. Lohrmann as Interim Pastor for Community of Christ on a 2/3-time basis. Pastor Lohrmann served as Bishop of the Northwestern Ohio Synod from 1998-2016. His first call was at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Hazelwood, MO, where he served as Associate Pastor for 12 years. He then accepted a call to St. John, Hicksville, OH where he served for 8 years. In 1997, he accepted a call to become Senior Pastor at Olivet where he briefly served prior to his election as bishop. After his retirement as bishop, Pastor Lohrmann was appointed as Interim Bishop for the Florida-Bahamas Synod in 2017. He then served as Interim Pastor at Memorial, Toledo for 1 1/2 years 2018-2019. In addition to Sundays, Pastor Lohrmann is in the office 3 days a week, typically including Wednesdays and Thursdays. He is available for pastoral visitation in homes, nursing homes, and hospitals and can be contacted for pastoral emergencies.
