While I was the chair for the Southern California Association of Governments Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) Subcommittee and Appeals Board, it became clear that Sacramento politicians have no business making ineffective housing policies.

For the past two years, I’ve led a home-grown coalition of southern California elected officials that fought back against Sacramento’s one-size-fits-all housing policies. It’s clear that politicians and lobbyists from Sacramento don’t understand what's best for Yorba Linda. Housing policies need to be made on a case-by-case, city-by-city process.
