About A Thankful Heart
A Thankful Heart is part of a small Amish community in northeast Indiana, Shipshewana. We opened our doors in 1996 and embraced the community and all it had to offer. Scavengers for the past, we search for old doors, hardware, buckets, feed sacks, porch pieces, shutters and the like, and transform them into one-of-a-kind pieces from things left behind.
Every day brings a new idea or emphasis to an old idea, presenting an adventure in country and primitive craftsmanship.
Specializing in one-of-a-kind handmades, A Thankful Heart offers primitive furniture, scented candles, lamps & lighting, folk art dolls, textiles and much more!
