NV Energy

NV Energy by the Numbers

NV Energy has a long history in the state of Nevada, and we’re proud to provide safe reliable, affordable energy to more than 1.5 million customers. We’re especially proud of our continued progress toward a clean energy future.

We are moving forward with the development of Greenlink Nevada, our new transmission and renewable energy initiative that will transform Nevada’s clean energy landscape, create thousands of jobs, promote economic development, and position the state to achieve its environmental and carbon reduction goals.

NV Energy is well on its way to achieving our state’s renewable portfolio standard of 50 percent by 2030. The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN) approved our proposal for two additional solars with battery storage projects that will be built in Valmy, Nevada, and ultimately replace the North Valmy Generation Station, our only remaining coal-fired power plant. These projects will be part of 57 utility-scale geothermal, solar, solar plus storage, wind, and hydro projects both in service and under development to serve our customers.
