A forest acre can grow 3,000 board feet of lumber a year.

We will never harvest more than we can be grown.

Firewood For Good will be managed as a not-for-profit.

The goal is to create jobs in small rural communities adjacent to forests.

And to salvage some of the wood to develop the expertice in fabricating consumer products using new innovative wood processing.

The founder John Lundquist worked in woods for 23 years.

At the age of 17 in 1972 he moved to the woods from the suburbs of the California San Francisco Bay Area and has been there ever since In the Lake Almanor Basin for 46 years.

After earning a two year degree in Forestry and a four year degree in Geography in 2003 John began work in Geographic Information Systems, mostly in Natural Resources, Natural Hazards, and Land Management.
