Welcome To

Tavern Grille/Tavern Hotel

Looking for a fun, friendly, upscale neighborhood tavern with terrific food and a great beverage selection? The Tavern Grille, located in Old Town Cottonwood in the Verde Valley, Arizona, is just the spot! We pride ourselves in our great service, generous portions, quality dishes, and reasonable prices. Cozy booths, a neighborhood style bar inside, and a terrific covered patio outside, The Tavern Grille is perfect for any occasion.

The Grille is in a historic building originally built in 1923 as the Rialto Theater. It was the longest-running single-screen theater in the United States until December 1998, when it was lost to fire. Reopened in December of 2005 as The Tavern Grille, guests will see the charred concrete walls that frame the dining room today. The building next door, built-in 1925 as a grocery store, was converted into the upscale Tavern Hotel in 2011 and guests enjoy welcome cocktails at the Tavern Grille Bar after checking in. Upstairs from the Grille is a luxury penthouse that is part of the Tavern Hotel experience.

Join us for Happy Hour between 3-7 pm! We're open daily from 11 am to 9 pm. The Tavern is a non-smoking restaurant and does not accept reservations, but we do recommend parties of 5 or more call ahead so that we can seat you quickly when you arrive.
