Welcome To

Barn Swallow Gardens

After meeting in the Peace Corps we (Andre and Kjessie) embarked on a journey together that has consistently involved growing our own food and creating beauty in all the wild and wonderful spaces we've inhabited. In 2015 we returned to Indian Valley to raise the 4th generation of Plumas County kids. Through many incarnations and practices in multiple climates, we tend toward Permaculture practices and use no-till systems. We are committed to learning, evolving, sharing, and creating beauty in this mountain community we love dearly.

ABOUT BARN SWALLOW GARDENS

Every April the Barn Swallows return from their thousands of miles migration. They come back to the same nests and we watch them swoop and dive in droves. They welcome in Spring, reminding us that the beautiful work of growing is ready to begin again.
