Welcome To

R. Scott Phillips

I am running for re-election for the Cedar City Council. After spending 40 years working and leading the Utah Shakespeare Festival and living and volunteering in Cedar City, I want to continue to provide public service and to give back to the City I love.

I have never forgotten my past and remember well growing up in the small rural town of Caliente, Nevada. I understand the importance of strong families, small businesses, and hard work. I have been honored locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally for my leadership and service.

Being a Council member requires being a good listener and a willingness to investigate the important issues in order to make informed decisions. You can trust me to always keep the greater good of the community in mind. I want our City to continue to flourish and prosper.

I am grateful to the residents of Cedar City for allowing me to represent them as a City Council member for the past four years. I look forward to being able to represent you once again and ask for your vote on November 2nd in the general election.
