About Golden Apple
In 1997, the Rockford Public Schools Foundation merged with the Community Education Foundation to form the Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford. The Golden Apple Foundation is a volunteer-driven organization that recognizes and supports excellence in education.
Golden Apple spotlights excellence in our classrooms, supports innovation in education, and then utilizes the strength of those excelling to impact future teachers and the community. Everyone can remember a teacher whose impact made a difference. Golden Apple Foundation makes certain they know it.
