Welcome To

Maplewood Historical Society

The Maplewood Area Historical Society was incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 in 1997 to preserve and interpret the history of Maplewood through collections, events, exhibits, and programs. Most of our events, exhibits, and meetings are at the Bruentrup Heritage Farm but we also sponsor tours, talks, and other programs offsite. In June 1993, a meeting was held at the Maplewood City Hall as the first step toward forming a historical society that was incorporated in 1997. A significant event occurred in 1999 when the Bruentrup family donated their farm buildings to the Society. Today, the Society holds many events, exhibits, programs, and private rentals at the Farm throughout the year.
