About Animal Friends Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Heather Jones is Practice Owner and Chief Veterinarian at Animal Friends. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002, where she earned her Veterinary Medical Doctoral (VMD) degree with honors. She worked in the small animal practice for a few years before becoming a zoo veterinarian at the Detroit and Toledo Zoos. Dr. Jones also enjoyed being a high school biology teacher and instructor to veterinary technology students. She opened Animal Friends in 2014 and loves seeing her patients and teaching pet parents about animal care. Dr. Jones is passionate about recycling and conservation and likes the challenge of seeing a variety of exotic animal species. Outside of animals, she enjoys photography, travel, and watching her daughter dance!
Our full-service veterinary hospital offers preventative care, including vaccinations, parasite control, and microchip placement. We have in-house diagnostic equipment to help diagnose and treat medical conditions, as well as perform dentistry, surgery, and emergency care. Our pharmacy has a variety of products to meet your pet's needs. Our experienced support staff and veterinarian care about you and your pet and are here to help!
