Welcome to Saprea, where our mission is to liberate individuals and society from the devastating impacts of child sexual abuse. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, located in Lehi, Utah, we are driven by the commitment to empower healing, educate caregivers, and raise awareness to combat this pervasive issue. Founded in 2014 by the Maxfield family, Saprea was born out of a heartfelt conversation between Derek Maxfield and his wife, Shelaine. Witnessing the profound need for support and resources for adult female survivors of child sexual abuse, they embarked on a journey to create an organization that would offer hope and healing.
At Saprea, we believe in empowering individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse by offering comprehensive support services. Through retreats, support groups, and accessible online resources, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for survivors to embark on their healing journey. Additionally, we recognize the critical role of parents and caregivers in preventing child sexual abuse. Through community engagement initiatives and online resources, we equip caregivers with the knowledge and tools needed to protect children from potential harm.
