Attention, students interested in programs in health professions: off-site clinical experiences at one or more healthcare facilities are required to finish our programs in Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, Pharmacy Technician and Surgical Technician. Due to the federal vaccine mandate from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the local clinical facilities may require employees, college faculty working within their facilities, and UBTech students participating in off-site clinical experiences to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive approval for a qualified clinical facility exemption prior to program enrollment. UBTech is one of the eight technical colleges that combined with two community colleges, four regional universities, and two research universities that now make up the Utah System of Higher Education. UBTech is the oldest technical college in Utah and has served the region for over 50 years. Governance and name changes are part of UBTech’s history; however, the primary mission of providing quality technical education to the citizens of the Uintah Basin has remained constant. The college is committed to its mission and is excited to continue its role as an economic development engine for northeastern Utah.
