Every parent wants their child to be a successful student. How well are El Rancho Preschoolers prepared for kindergarten success? Almost all of the El Rancho kindergartners moved up from the pre-kindergarten class.
For the last fourteen years the SAT10 average reading score for El Rancho kindergartners has been in the top 3% of the nation! The wonderful phonics program in the Preschool gets them ready to start reading in kindergarten. The foundation in numbers is developed in the Preschool. Listening skills are developed there as well. Spanish, PE and music classes are given to all preschoolers.

El Rancho School is a private, coeducational preschool through sixth grade founded in 1965. The park-like campus is located in a residential area of Carmichael at the eastern end of El Camino Avenue. Towering trees shade the play areas, the blacktop, lawns, and colorful flowerbeds. Many of the classrooms are adobe brick buildings in the style of the California missions.
