CASA volunteers are ordinary individuals making an extraordinary impact in the lives of abused children. You don’t have to be a lawyer or social worker; we’re simply looking for people with a desire to help abused and neglected children.

For a few hours a month of your time, you could make a lasting difference for a child in need. You have the power to change a child’s life. Be the difference.

Get started today! By following these three easy steps, you can join our 45 active volunteers who provide critical advocacy for child victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment.

Step 1

Contact our Training Coordinator, Michelle "Mike" Mayfield, at 541-386-3468 or mmayfield@gorgecasa.org to schedule an orientation appointment at our office. You will get all of the information you need to get on your way to making a difference for an abused child.

Step 2

You’ll be introduced to our program and find out the requirements for becoming a court-appointed advocate volunteer. Have all of your questions answered and begin your paperwork to enroll in volunteer training.

Step 3

Our 38-hour training course is offered every Winter, Spring and Fall will prepare you for this incredible volunteer experience. You must have an interview and submit an application prior to beginning training.

Step 4

You are sworn into service by a local circuit court judge!

Fall Training Dates: Thursdays, September 27th - Nov. 3rd from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.
