This collection is sponsored by the Utah State Library Division and Utah County and is located on the main floor of the City Center building. The Bookmobile Director rotates books on and off the truck that serves many rural communities within Utah County. Mapleton is fortunate to have easy access to this collection. Our collection is composed of adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and downloadable e-books and audiobooks through Utah’s Online Library. Internet access is also available. A catalog and schedule of stops are available online at http.bookmobiles.utah.gov.

Each summer, Mapleton sponsors a reading program for children ages 5 to 11. The topic varies each year, and the goal is to encourage reading during the summer months. This will help children retain and improve their reading skills before school begins again. There is no charge for the program, and the children can earn prizes and books for the amount of reading they accomplish. There will be 4 events held in June. Watch for more information given out in the City Newsletter or for flyers posted at the Library and local schools in May of each year.
