Building Moisture Inspection (BMI)
The Building Moisture Inspection (BMI) certification covers thermography in water damage restoration, mold remediation, building envelope diagnostics, indoor air quality consultation, and other related professions. The certification’s emphasis is on the physics of infrared radiation, thermodynamics principles, psychrometry principles, and the use of infrared camera equipment for those who perform IR inspections in the field. Upon achieving certification, you demonstrate that you are adequately equipped to collect and interpret infrared images, thus using thermography as a primary technology for the inspection, cleaning, and restoration of building envelopes.
